Relationship with Hieroglyphics
In the mid-1990s, Labtekwon claims that he approached Souls of Mischief at a show to engage in a freestyle battle but was denied. Hoopla veteran Fish stated in 2024, "Tajai was talking to some girls or something."
The act of denial drove Labtekwon to verbally attack Souls of Mischief and Hieroglyphics on the Hiero Hoopla BBS, inadvertently creating one of the very first e-beefs.
Beef with Mos Def
In 2024, Labtekwon posted a video on the social media platform Instagram, accusing Yasiin Bey of "biting" another artist's song while Bey performed an homage to classic songs that inspired him. "BITING ain't Hip Hop culture [sic]," wrote Labtekwon.
